ALTA certification is a two year intensive, graduate level training, with a practicum. Therapy Level, CALT, requires 220 hours of instruction, at least 10 demonstrations, 700 clinical teaching hours, and a national exam. Decoding Dyslexia Utah is working hard to bring the science of reading to every school. As we work on educating our teachers and improving options in public education for kids with dyslexia, there is a huge demand for CALTs in Utah. There are currently two CALT certification training centers in Utah: Dyslexia Therapy Utah and LIT LAB (Literacy Intervention Therapy). We work together to provide training for CALTs, classroom teachers, and others seeking a graduate degree in dyslexia related services. We have a new cohort starting August 6–8, 11, 12, 2025; with 6 additional training days throughout the year. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSflIPoGpvmxlNJi5kX42Gy9J73WG25SEaHUJ4rSIWP17Ocmkw/viewform
