How Dyslexia Therapy Utah works...
After a phone consultation, a new student is given an initial evaluation to determine the specific skills the student has in place, and what skills are missing. This evaluation helps form the individualized lesson plan for that student. We use their existing skills to help them move forward, as we methodically fill in the missing holes and add to their skill set. From day one, your child will learn something new. We will provide supplies that you can use at home to reinforce the things your child is learning in his sessions. Sessions are available in person or online. Online lessons have been very successful, saving parents driving time and reducing stress on busy families. We have therapists and therapists in training throughout the state, making in person options available in more areas as our numbers grow.
Because early and intensive intervention is key to success, it is important to meet as often as possible. As time and budgets allow, meeting 3-4 times a week is necessary to help your child progress at the rate that is needed. The holes need to be filled. The quicker they are filled, the quicker the gap can close.
Combating dyslexia is serious business. There is no time to waste. Dyslexia Therapy Utah does not have a waiting lists. Waiting should NEVER be an option. Children do NOT grow out of dyslexia.
